This is definitely a pop up book for adults and older kids, not toddlers or babies. The discussion of the evolution of the humble sea cucumber serves also as a critique of the contingent nature of scientific understanding. The book is very easy to read and Johnson, as proven in his other books, breaks down the difficult or confusing steps into an easy to understand process.
